What is TB-500?
Thymosin beta-4 is a small protein found in almost every cell in the body, and one of the main proteins that helps manage actin, part of a cell's internal structure. TB-500 is a lab-made copy of the short, active part of that protein (just seven amino acids), with a small tweak to make it more stable.
Because this active fragment is much smaller than the full protein, it moves through tissue samples more easily and is cheaper to make at high purity, which is why it has become the go-to version for laboratories studying Thymosin beta-4.
