TB-500 Peptide

10mg / 5ml per vial

TB-500 is a lab-made copy of the active part of Thymosin beta-4, a protein found in most cells in the body. It's studied in the lab for how it affects the way cells move and repair, and how new blood vessels form. Supplied as a research-grade compound.

  • Active fragment of Thymosin beta-4

Scientific profile

TB-500 at a glance

TB-500 carries the part of Thymosin beta-4 (a sequence called LKKTETQ) that binds to actin, one of the proteins cells use to build their internal 'scaffolding'. In lab studies, this binding changes how that scaffolding assembles, which helps cells move more easily across a wound. Researchers use it as a tool to study cell movement and repair.

01

What is TB-500?

Thymosin beta-4 is a small protein found in almost every cell in the body, and one of the main proteins that helps manage actin, part of a cell's internal structure. TB-500 is a lab-made copy of the short, active part of that protein (just seven amino acids), with a small tweak to make it more stable.

Because this active fragment is much smaller than the full protein, it moves through tissue samples more easily and is cheaper to make at high purity, which is why it has become the go-to version for laboratories studying Thymosin beta-4.

02

What researchers study TB-500 for

The main thing researchers look at is how TB-500 binds actin. By latching onto individual actin building blocks, it changes how a cell's internal scaffolding forms, which affects how quickly cells can crawl across a surface. Simple 'scratch' tests on layers of cells are the usual way to measure this.

Other areas of study include how new blood vessels form, how TB-500 affects inflammation signals in immune cells, and repair in heart and skin tissue in animal models. Researchers often pair it with BPC-157 in the same study, because the two are thought to work on different parts of the repair process: one more on blood vessels, one more on cell structure.

03

How to store and prepare TB-500

TB-500 dissolves quickly. Add bacteriostatic water down the inside wall of the vial, swirl gently, and give it a minute or two to fully dissolve before drawing it up. The mixed solution should be clear and colourless. Throw it away if it looks cloudy or has bits floating in it.

Keep the mixed solution in the fridge (2–8°C), away from light, and use it within 30 days. Sealed vials last 24 months in the fridge. Try not to freeze and thaw it repeatedly.

Certificates of analysis

Every batch tested. Every result published.

Samples from each TB-500 batch are sent to an independent, accredited UK laboratory. Purity is measured with a technique called HPLC, and identity is confirmed by mass spectrometry, before the batch is released.

Answers

TB-500 questions, answered

Can't find what you need? Our UK team answers technical enquiries within one working day.

Is TB-500 third-party tested?

Yes. Every batch of TB-500 is checked by an independent UK laboratory that's accredited to the ISO/IEC 17025 standard. They confirm its purity (using a technique called HPLC) and its identity (using mass spectrometry). The certificate for the exact batch you receive is published on this page before we put it on sale.

Where is it made and shipped from?

Everything (making the peptide, filling the vials and quality-checking each batch) happens in the UK at our facility on Alderley Park, the country's largest life-sciences campus. Your order is picked, packed and posted from the same site, so nothing crosses a border before it reaches you.

How quickly will my order arrive?

Orders placed before 3pm, Monday to Friday, are sent out the same working day on a tracked 24-hour UK service. Delivery is free on orders over £100. Everything ships in plain, unbranded packaging.

What does 99% purity actually mean?

It means at least 99% of what's in the vial is the peptide itself, with almost no leftover by-products. We measure this with a lab technique called HPLC, and only release batches that reach 99% or higher. The exact figure for your batch is printed on its certificate.

How does TB-500 come packaged?

TB-500 arrives as a freeze-dried powder in a sealed glass vial, with a flip-off cap and a tamper-evident seal so you know it hasn't been opened. You'll need bacteriostatic water to mix it (sold separately).

Can I save money by buying more than one vial?

Yes. Two vials save you 10% and three vials save 20% against the single-vial price.

Do I get a Certificate of Analysis with every order?

Yes. A certificate comes with every batch and can be downloaded from this page. It shows the batch number, the date it was made, the purity result, confirmation of identity, appearance, water content and a contamination (endotoxin) check.

Is this product for human use?

No. Everything we sell is supplied strictly as a research-grade compound for laboratory study by qualified researchers. These products are not medicines and are not intended for human or animal consumption, injection, diagnosis or treatment.
