What is Ipamorelin?

Ipamorelin is a lab-made peptide (five amino acids) designed to prompt the release of growth hormone. Its defining feature in research is selectivity: older compounds like GHRP-6 and GHRP-2 also nudge up other hormones such as cortisol and prolactin, which muddies the results of experiments. Ipamorelin does far less of this.

That cleanliness makes it a useful reference tool when researchers want to study growth-hormone signalling on its own, without the wider stress-hormone response getting in the way.

What researchers study Ipamorelin for

It's used in pituitary cell studies to map out how its target receptor passes signals along, in receptor-binding tests as a reliable reference, and in animal models looking at the natural rhythm and size of growth-hormone pulses.

Because Ipamorelin works on the ghrelin receptor rather than the separate GHRH receptor, it's often studied alongside a compound like CJC-1295 to see whether the two pathways simply add up or amplify each other.

How to store and prepare Ipamorelin

Mix with bacteriostatic water added gently down the inside wall of the vial. Ipamorelin dissolves easily and should give a clear, colourless solution within a minute of gentle swirling.

Keep the mixed solution in the fridge (2–8°C), away from light, and use within 30 days. Sealed vials last 24 months in the fridge.
